Læs siden på dansk You connect Google Search Console by logging in on Google’s own consent screen and giving Consile read-only access to Search Console. Consile stores the resulting access encrypted per customer. Your AI never sees the access itself, only answers to your questions.
You need an active Google Search Console subscription in the portal, or the system must be included in your plan (the free edition or the Consile Studio membership). You must be able to log in to a Google account with access to at least one verified Search Console property. You can connect Google before or after you have connected Claude.
The connection applies to your whole Consile account. All users with access to Google Search Console use the Google account that is connected, even if a colleague connected it. Anyone on the team can connect an agreement that is not connected yet. Only an administrator can reconnect it or disconnect it, because that changes the connection for everyone. If an administrator reconnects with a different Google account, it replaces the existing connection. If you need several Google accounts, or each website should have its own connection, see Multiple Google accounts and websites.

How to connect

1

Open the connector in the portal

Go to Google Search Console in the portal. Click Connect now at the top of the page, or Connect next to the agreement on the Connections card. The portal calls each connection to the system an agreement. Right after the purchase, the Connect Google Search Console button on the Subscription activated page takes you straight to the connector’s page. If you have not accepted Consile’s terms yet, you are asked to do so first.
2

Authorise access

The portal shows what Consile asks for: read access to search data (webmasters.readonly). Click Authorise access. You are sent to Google’s own consent screen.
3

Choose your Google account

Log in, and choose the account that has access to the properties (websites) you want to work with in Search Console.
4

Confirm with Google

Google shows that Consile is asking to see your Search Console data. Confirm to continue. If Google shows a checkbox for Search Console, it must be checked. You are then sent back to the portal.
The portal shows Google Search Console is connected, and the agreement shows as Connected. Your AI can now read your Search Console data.
5

Lock the connection to one website (optional)

The page also shows The key reaches several companies. Choose the one this connection should be locked to, and every call keeps to it. If you want your AI to work with only one website on this agreement, click Choose company. Choose the website under Choose website, and click Lock to this company. This requires an administrator. If you do not want to lock, click Go to connector. Your AI can then use all the properties the Google account has access to. See Lock a connection to one company.

What exactly am I approving?

Read access only

The scope is webmasters.readonly. Consile can read your Search Console data, but cannot change, add or remove anything. If the approval grants any scopes other than exactly this one, the connection is refused.

Search Console only

The access applies only to Search Console, not to Gmail, Drive or other Google services.

Encrypted per customer

Consile stores a token encrypted with a key that applies only to your account, and never logs it. It is renewed automatically in the background.

Your AI never sees it

Claude is never handed the token itself, only answers to your questions.

The token is renewed, but the connection can stop

Consile renews the access automatically, so you do not have to reconnect during normal use. The automatic renewal does not change a lock.
If the access has been revoked at Google or has expired, your AI cannot fetch data. The tool call fails with the message Search Console access token has expired; reconnect required or Search Console rejected the access token (401); reconnect required. The portal can still show the agreement as Connected until it detects this and shows Access revoked. If a call instead fails with the general message Tool invocation failed., check that your Google account still has access to the property you are asking about.
How an administrator reconnects:
  • If the agreement says Access revoked, click Reconnect, and follow the steps above.
  • Otherwise: click the menu (the three dots) next to the agreement on the Connections card, choose Disconnect, and confirm with Disconnect. Then click Connect, and follow the steps above.
  • You can also ask your AI for a new connection link. Ask in the connector that belongs to the agreement (for example gsc-2), so the link connects exactly that agreement.
If the connection was locked to one website, the website must be chosen again after you have reconnected. After Reconnect or a link from your AI, Consile refuses all calls on the agreement until an administrator has chosen it. If you disconnected first, the lock is gone, and your AI can reach all of the account’s properties until the website has been chosen again. See After a new connection.

If the connection fails

If the approval does not succeed, the portal shows Connection was not completed and a technical reason. The most common ones:
  • token_exchange_failed: Google did not send back a valid approval, typically because you clicked Cancel on Google’s screen. Try again, and approve the access.
  • unexpected_scope: Google did not grant exactly the read access to Search Console, for example because the access was deselected on the consent screen. Try again, and approve the access to Search Console.
  • no_refresh_token: Google did not return renewable access. Try again.
  • state_expired, invalid_state or state_unknown_or_consumed: more than 10 minutes passed, or the same approval was used twice (for example with the browser’s back button). Start over in the portal.
Click Try again to get back to the connector’s page, and start over with Connect now or Connect. If that does not help, write to support@consile.dk and include the technical reason.

Multiple Google accounts and websites

One agreement covers all the properties the connected Google account has access to. There are two reasons to add another agreement:
  • Another Google account. Connect the new agreement with the other account.
  • One website per agreement. Connect the new agreement with the same Google account, and lock each agreement to its own website. Then each website has its own address in your AI, and your AI only reaches the website the agreement is locked to. A website can only be locked on one agreement at a time.
How to do it:
  1. On the Connections card, an administrator clicks Add agreement (124.50 kr/mo.). The agreement is added to the subscription and charged pro rata for the rest of the period.
  2. When the new agreement is ready (typically after a few seconds), click Connect next to it and follow the steps above.
  3. Each agreement has its own address, for example https://mcp.consile.ai/gsc-2/mcp. Copy it from the card, and add it as an extra connector in your AI.
The agreements show as Agreement 1, Agreement 2 and so on. If an agreement is locked, Locked to <website> appears under the name. Under the Consile Studio membership there is no button to add an agreement. Instead the card says The membership covers this system. One more company costs full price under the membership, and we will set it up for you if you write to us. If an administrator removes an agreement that is not the last one, the last agreement moves up into the free slot and takes its address. If it was locked, the website must be chosen again before it answers. See Remove an agreement.

Revoke access

You can remove the access again at any time:
  • In the portal: an administrator clicks the menu (the three dots) next to the agreement on the Connections card, chooses Disconnect and confirms with Disconnect. The stored access is deleted at Consile right away, and any lock disappears. The subscription continues until an administrator cancels it under Subscription, and Consile stays on the list at Google until you remove the access there (see the next point). If you have several agreements, an administrator can also remove an agreement entirely with Remove the agreement. Its access is then deleted too.
  • At Google: under third-party connections in your Google account, you can remove Consile’s access directly. The connector then stops working, but the portal can still show it as Connected. If you want to use it again, reconnect as described above.
  • When the subscription ends: if you cancel Google Search Console under Subscription, Consile automatically deletes the stored access when the subscription ends. If a payment is only late, the tools do not work in the meantime, but the stored access is kept, so the connection works again without a new approval once the payment is in place.
