# Studio

> Build own connectors with exactly the tools a person or an AI bot needs, and keep track of which customer each agreement belongs to. An own connector always belongs to one customer.

*[Læs siden på dansk](https://docs.consile.ai/studio/introduktion.md)*

Studio is the area of the [portal](https://app.consile.ai/studio) where you build
own connectors and create customers. **Studio** is in the menu with the **Beta**
label and has two tabs: **Your own connectors** and **Customers**.

An own connector is a selection of tools from the systems you have connected. It
gets its own URL and works like an ordinary connector. It can use several
systems for the same customer, for example the customer's e-conomic agreement and
CVR, but never the data of two customers. There are two types:

* **AI assistant:** *People log in and use it in their AI assistant.* That can be
Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, grok.com or a local AI. See
  [Own connectors](https://docs.consile.ai/en/studio/own-connectors.md).
* **AI bot:** *One bot uses it with a key. It asks nobody before it changes
  data.* See [AI bots](https://docs.consile.ai/en/studio/ai-bots.md).

> [!NOTE]
>
> Studio gives no new access. An own connector is a selection of tools you can
> already use, and each person gets only the tools in it that they themselves
> have access to under [Team](https://docs.consile.ai/en/portal/team.md).

## Who is Studio for?

Studio is made for those of you who work in the data of several companies, for
example an accountant or an agency with clients. You create a customer for each
client and move the client's agreements to that customer. An own connector for
the customer can then reach only that client's data.

You can also use Studio without customers. Then every agreement belongs to your
own company, and you can, for example, build a connector with the few tools a
colleague needs.

In the portal, one connection to a system is called an *agreement*, for example
*Agreement 1* on the **Connections** card on the connector's page. Studio calls
the same thing a *portal*, for example in *that customer's own portals*. The two
words mean the same here.

## One own connector, one customer

Studio has one rule, and the portal puts it like this:

> *An own connector belongs to one customer and can only use that customer's own
> portals. It may hold several systems, but never two customers. The customer is
> picked first and cannot be changed afterwards.*

* The customer and the type are chosen when the connector is created. Neither can
be changed afterwards. To change either, you build a new one.
* The connector can use tools from the customer's agreements and from CVR. CVR is
public data and belongs to no customer.
* The rule is checked on every call. If an agreement no longer belongs to the
customer, the connector cannot use it.
* The organization itself is always a customer, *your own company*. You can
build an own connector for it too.

## How to get started

**1. Create the customer**

An administrator creates the customer under **Customers** and moves the
customer's agreements to it. If you only work in your own data, skip this
step. See [Customers](https://docs.consile.ai/en/studio/customers.md).

**2. Build an own connector**

Click **Build your own connector** under **Your own connectors**. Choose the
type, the customer and a name.

**3. Choose tools**

Put in exactly the tools the connector should be able to use. One tool is
enough if it only has one job.

**4. Connect it**

An AI assistant uses the connector's URL and your Consile login. An AI bot
uses the URL and a key.

## How many own connectors can you have?

The number depends on how you have Consile. AI assistants and AI bots are counted
together.

| How you have Consile | Own connectors | More can be bought |
| - | - | - |
| Single connectors from the catalogue, without membership | 1 for the whole organization | No |
| [The free edition](https://docs.consile.ai/en/portal/free-edition.md) | 1 for the whole organization | No |
| [The Consile Studio membership](https://docs.consile.ai/en/portal/membership.md) | 3 per user with a membership licence and 3 per extra company | Yes, 49 DKK/month excl. VAT each (€6.50) |

* The 3 per user are personal. An own connector counts against the person who
built it or last activated it, even when it is shared. You cannot borrow a
  colleague's unused slot.
* The 3 per company beyond the first go into a shared pool that everyone in the
  organization can use.
* A deactivated own connector does not count. See
  [Deactivation and activation](https://docs.consile.ai/en/studio/own-connectors.md#deactivation-and-activation).
* Under **Your own connectors** you see how many you have used, for example
  *Own connectors: 2 of 3*.
* Beyond the included ones, an administrator can buy more under the membership.
The portal shows the price before the connector is created. See
  [Price for more own connectors](https://docs.consile.ai/en/studio/own-connectors.md#price-for-more-own-connectors).

Example: With 1 user, 1 company and 7 own connectors, 3 are included, and the
other 4 cost 49 DKK each. You pay 349 + 4 × 49 = 545 DKK/month excl. VAT.

Under the membership, a customer counts as a company, so a new customer can raise
the price. See [What does a customer cost?](https://docs.consile.ai/en/studio/customers.md#what-does-a-customer-cost).

## Roles

| What the role can do | Administrator | Member |
| - | - | - |
| Open Studio and see the list of customers | Yes | Yes |
| Build an own connector for AI assistants | Yes | Yes |
| Edit, deactivate and delete an own connector you built yourself | Yes | Yes |
| See all the organization's own connectors | Yes | No |
| Edit, deactivate and delete other people's own connectors | Yes | No |
| Create, rename and delete customers and move agreements to a customer | Yes | No |
| Share an own connector with colleagues | Yes | No |
| Build, manage and delete AI bots | Yes | No |
| Buy own connectors beyond the included ones | Yes | No |

A member sees their own connectors, the ones an administrator has shared with
them, and the ones whose owner has left the team. See
[Team, users and access](https://docs.consile.ai/en/portal/team.md) about the roles in general.

Studio is marked **Beta**. Feel free to write to
[support@consile.dk](mailto:support@consile.dk) if something is missing.
