# Customers

> Create a customer for each client, and move the customer's agreements to that customer. An own connector for the customer can then only use that customer's data.

*[Læs siden på dansk](https://docs.consile.ai/studio/kunder.md)*

A customer is the company an agreement's data belongs to. Accountants usually
create one customer per client. The customers are under **Studio** on the
[Customers](https://app.consile.ai/studio/kunder) tab.

In the portal, one connection to a system is called an *agreement*, for example
*Agreement 1* on the **Connections** card on the connector's page. On the
**Customers** tab the same thing is called a *portal*.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Everyone in the organization can see the customers. Only administrators can
> create, rename and delete customers and move agreements. A member sees
> *Only administrators can create customers and move portals.* instead.

## Your own company

The organization itself is always first on the tab, for example *\<company
name> · your own company*. All your agreements belong to you until you move
them to a customer. Once you have at least one customer, such an agreement shows
*Customer: Your own company* on the connector's page.

Your own company cannot be renamed or deleted, and you can build own connectors
for it as for any other customer.

## Create a customer

**1. Click New customer**

Open **Studio**, choose the **Customers** tab, and click **New customer**.

**2. Type the name**

Type the customer's name under **Name**, for example `<company name>`. Two
customers cannot have the same name.

**3. See the price, and create the customer**

If you have the [Consile Studio membership](https://docs.consile.ai/en/portal/membership.md), the window
shows what the customer costs before you create it. See the next section.
Click **Create customer**. The portal says *Customer created.*

A new customer owns no agreements. Move the customer's agreements to it
afterwards. See [Move an agreement to a customer](#move-an-agreement-to-a-customer).

You rename a customer with **Rename** on the customer's card. Type the new name,
and click **Save**.

## What does a customer cost?

Without the membership, a customer costs nothing. Under the Consile Studio
membership, a customer counts as a company:

* The first company is included in the base price. Each extra company costs 349
  DKK/month excl. VAT (€45).
* The number of companies is the larger of two numbers: the number of customers
in Studio and the number of connected agreements in the system where you have
the most. If you have, for example, three connected e-conomic agreements, you
count at least three companies. So a new customer does not always raise the
  price.
* The **New customer** window shows what the customer does to the price before
you click. If it raises the price, it costs from the day you create it, for
example *+349.00 kr a month from today. The rest of the current period is
prorated on the next invoice.* There is no free trial on a new customer.
* If the customer does not raise the price, it says *The first customer is
  included in your subscription.*
* If you deleted a customer earlier in the same period, the new customer reuses
the paid slot. Then it says *No change to the bill: the slot is paid for until
  \<date>.*

More about the price in [the Consile Studio membership](https://docs.consile.ai/en/portal/membership.md).

## Move an agreement to a customer

An administrator can move an agreement in two ways:

* **On the Customers tab:** Each agreement is listed under the customer it
belongs to. Choose another customer in the field next to the agreement.
* **On the connector's page:** Once you have at least one customer, each
agreement on the **Connections** card shows, for example, *Customer:
\<company name>*. Choose the customer in the field next to the agreement.

The portal says, for example, *The portal now belongs to \<company name>.*
To move the agreement back, choose your own company.

Moving an agreement only says which customer its data belongs to. It gives no
access and removes none. The connection works as before, and
[Team](https://docs.consile.ai/en/portal/team.md) still decides who can use what.

### Which systems can belong to a customer?

| System | Can belong to a customer |
| - | - |
| e-conomic, Uniconta, Billy, Shopify, HubSpot CMS, HubSpot Marketing Email and Ordrestyring | Yes. One agreement reaches one company. |
| Google Search Console, Meta Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Dinero and Business Central | Only once the connection is locked to one company. See [Lock a connection to one company](https://docs.consile.ai/en/portal/company-lock.md). |
| CVR | No. CVR is public data and belongs to no customer. If you have CVR, every own connector can use it. |

At the bottom of the tab, the connections that cannot belong to one customer are
listed under *These connections do not belong to one customer:*. For CVR it says
*public data, belongs to no single customer*.

A connection to one of the five systems that is not locked yet is shown as, for
example, *Dinero: the company has to be chosen before the connection can be bound
to a customer.* An administrator clicks **Choose company** and locks the
connection on the connector's page. A member sees *An administrator can choose
the company.*

While a locked connection belongs to a customer, the company cannot be changed,
and the lock cannot be removed. The portal says *The connection is bound to a
customer in Studio. Remove the binding on Studio's customers page first if the
company is to change.* Move the agreement back to your own company first.

### One agreement per system per customer

A customer can have only one agreement in each system. If you try to move a
second e-conomic agreement to a customer that already has one, the portal says
*This customer already has an agreement in that system. A customer holds one of
each system, so two agreements in the same system are two customers. Move the
other agreement first if it really is the same client.*

### When an agreement cannot be moved

If an own connector uses the agreement, you cannot move the agreement to a
customer other than the connector's. The portal says *These own connectors use
the portal where it is: \<names>. Change them first.* Remove the agreement's
tools from those own connectors, or delete them, and try again.

## When an agreement is paused

If someone connects an agreement again and Consile cannot confirm that it still
belongs to the same customer, the agreement is paused. It stays under the
customer, but own connectors cannot use its tools until it is confirmed.

Next to the agreement it says what needs to happen:

* An administrator sees *Paused: the connection was renewed and we could not
confirm it is still \<customer>. Pick \<customer> again to confirm
  it.*
* A member sees *Paused: the connection was renewed and an administrator must
  confirm who it belongs to.*

For the five systems with company lock it says *Paused: the company is not
confirmed.* instead. That happens when the connection has been renewed, or the
lock no longer names the company the customer was linked to. An administrator
clicks **Choose the company again** and chooses the same company on the
connector's page. That confirms the agreement. Choosing the customer again does
not help here.

If you cannot get any further with a paused agreement, write to
[support@consile.dk](mailto:support@consile.dk).

## Delete a customer

Click **Delete** on the customer's card, and confirm *Delete the customer
\<company name>?*

* The customer's agreements then belong to your own company. No connections are
  cut, and no tools change.
* If there are own connectors for the customer, it cannot be deleted. The window
shows *These own connectors use the customer: \<names>. Delete them
first.* That also applies to deactivated own connectors.
* Under the membership, a deleted customer is not credited. The window says *The
customer is paid for through the current period. It stays on the subscription
until \<date>, and the next invoice is without it.* If you create a new
customer before that date, it reuses the slot without a new payment.

## Error messages on the Customers tab
