# Frequently asked questions

> Short answers to the questions we get most often.

*[Læs siden på dansk](https://docs.consile.ai/faq.md)*

> **Which AI tools does it work with?**
>
> Consile works with AI clients that can add an MCP server as a custom
> connector:
>
> * Claude (claude.ai and Claude Desktop). Custom connectors are available on all
> Claude plans, but on Claude Free you can have only one. The portal also shows a
> ready-made command for Claude Code. See [Connect Claude](https://docs.consile.ai/en/connect/connect-claude.md).
> * ChatGPT through Developer mode. Which ChatGPT plans support it is described in
> [Connect ChatGPT](https://docs.consile.ai/en/connect/connect-chatgpt.md).
> * Microsoft 365 Copilot: e-conomic is available as a ready-made Copilot agent in a
> pilot version, which your IT administrator installs with an app package from
> the portal. See [Connect Microsoft 365 Copilot](https://docs.consile.ai/en/connect/connect-microsoft-copilot.md).
>
> Other MCP clients that support Streamable HTTP and OAuth can also be
> connected. See [Connect an MCP client](https://docs.consile.ai/developers/connect-mcp-client.md).
> Which subscriptions with Anthropic and OpenAI give access to custom
> connectors can change, so check their own help pages too.

> **Can my AI change anything in my data?**
>
> It depends on the connector. The data connectors (Google Search Console, CVR,
> Dinero, Billy, Ordrestyring and Business Central) are strictly
> read-only: your AI can read your numbers, but never change, create or delete
> anything.
>
> The write connectors (e-conomic, Uniconta, Shopify, HubSpot CMS, HubSpot
> Marketing Email, Meta Ads and LinkedIn Ads) can also create and manage content for
> you, but only behind safety barriers. New content is normally created as a draft
> or paused. Actions that spend money, change a budget, price or inventory,
> post to the accounts, archive, delete, publish or send something require
> your explicit confirmation by default. Without confirmation, you only get
> a preview, and nothing happens. A few changes happen without
> confirmation, though, for example editing a name or a title, pausing something or
> giving it draft status. The full overview per connector is in
> [Actions & guardrails](https://docs.consile.ai/en/essentials/actions-and-guardrails.md).
>
> An administrator can also control it on the server, whatever your AI does:
>
> * **Approvals:** Under **Team** › **Approvals**, an administrator can
> switch on **Requires approval** for a tool. The call then waits, and nothing
> is carried out until an administrator has approved it in the portal. See
> [Approvals](https://docs.consile.ai/en/portal/approvals.md).
> * **Access level:** For e-conomic and Uniconta, an administrator can give the
> individual user the **Read only** access level under **Team**, at the same
> price. Consile then blocks all write operations for that user. On all
> connectors, the administrator can use **Custom** to choose exactly the
> tools a user gets.
>
> An [AI bot](https://docs.consile.ai/en/studio/ai-bots.md) in Studio asks nobody before it changes data. Give
> it only the tools it needs. See also
> [Security & data](https://docs.consile.ai/en/essentials/security-and-data.md).

> **Does my AI get my Google login?**
>
> No. Consile holds a separate, encrypted token for your data source. Your AI never
> sees your login or your token. It sees only answers to your questions.

> **Where is my data stored?**
>
> Consile is hosted and operated in the EU (Frankfurt), and your access credentials
> are encrypted with a key that applies only to your own account. Consile does not store the
> data your AI fetches from your systems: the tools read directly from the source, and
> the answer is sent to the AI service you have connected yourself, for example Claude or
> ChatGPT. Our login service processes your login details, for example your email, in
> the US under EU-approved transfer mechanisms. See
> [GDPR & your rights](https://docs.consile.ai/en/essentials/gdpr.md).

> **Do I need to install anything or write code?**
>
> No. You add the connector's address in your AI and connect your account in
> the portal. There is no software to install and no code to write.
> The exception is the Microsoft 365 Copilot pilot, where your IT administrator
> uploads an app package in Microsoft 365.

> **Can I have several connectors?**
>
> Yes. Each connector is its own named MCP in your AI with only its own tools.
> One connector corresponds to one address, for example `mcp.consile.ai/uniconta/mcp`. You
> add each connector's own address in Claude or ChatGPT.
> See [Connect Claude](https://docs.consile.ai/en/connect/connect-claude.md) and
> [Connect ChatGPT](https://docs.consile.ai/en/connect/connect-chatgpt.md).
>
> If you have several accounts in the same system, for example two e-conomic agreements, an
> administrator can add one more agreement on the connector's page in the
> **Connections** card with **Add agreement**. An agreement is one connected account in
> the system. Each extra agreement costs 50% of the connector's monthly price and gets its
> own address, for example `mcp.consile.ai/economic-2/mcp`. If you have the Consile
> Studio membership, one more company costs the full price, and we set up the
> agreement when you write to us (see
> [the Consile Studio membership](https://docs.consile.ai/en/portal/membership.md)).
>
> CVR and HubSpot Marketing Email can have only one agreement. An extra Shopify store
> cannot yet be connected in the portal, so write to
> [support@consile.dk](mailto:support@consile.dk) if you need one.

> **Can my colleagues use our connectors?**
>
> Yes. The subscription belongs to the company, and the data source is connected only once. An
> administrator invites the colleague under **Team** in the portal. The invitation is
> free. The administrator then gives the colleague access under **Team**. What
> it costs depends on how you have Consile:
>
> * **Single connectors:** The person who bought the connector has access from the start, and
> each extra user costs 50% of the connector's monthly price.
> * **The Consile Studio membership:** The colleague gets the membership licence, which
> covers all systems in the membership. Each extra user costs 174.50 DKK/month
> excl. VAT.
> * **The free edition:** There is one user. If someone else is to use the licence, it
> must first be removed from the person who has it.
>
> For e-conomic and Uniconta, the administrator also chooses per user between
> **Read only** and **Full access**, and on all connectors the administrator can
> choose exactly the tools a user gets with **Custom**. All levels
> cost the same.
>
> The colleague adds the same address in their own Claude or ChatGPT and logs
> in with their own Consile login through the invitation. Colleagues do not have to buy their
> own subscription. If a colleague logs in without an invitation, a
> new, empty organization may be created. The colleague should instead ask your administrator for an
> invitation. See [Team](https://docs.consile.ai/en/portal/team.md).

> **Which connectors can I choose?**
>
> These systems are in the catalogue. All are included in the Consile Studio membership, and
> all except CVR are included in the free edition. You can also buy each one separately.
> The prices apply when bought separately and are per month excl. VAT.
>
> * [Google Search Console](https://docs.consile.ai/en/connectors/gsc.md): search data, 7 read-only tools, 249 DKK/month.

> * [HubSpot Marketing Email](https://docs.consile.ai/en/connectors/hubspot-email.md): marketing, 19 tools (8 read / 11 write), 149 DKK/month.
> * [Meta Ads](https://docs.consile.ai/en/connectors/meta-ads.md): advertising, 39 tools (34 read / 5 write), 299 DKK/month.
> * [LinkedIn Ads](https://docs.consile.ai/en/connectors/linkedin-ads.md): advertising, 64 tools (45 read / 19
> write), 399 DKK/month. 22 of them, for company pages, profile and organic
> posts, are not available yet, and calls to them fail.
>
> The write connectors can also create and manage content behind safety barriers.
> See [Actions & guardrails](https://docs.consile.ai/en/essentials/actions-and-guardrails.md). The
> current connectors are always listed in [the portal](https://app.consile.ai).

> **What is Consile Concierge?**
>
> A management connector (`mcp.consile.ai/mcp`) you can keep in Claude or
> ChatGPT. Here you can see your MCPs and their addresses, find new ones, get a link to
> connect an account, check the subscription, request a new connector and write to
> support. Purchases and cancellations happen through a link to the portal. Concierge has no
> data tools. See [Concierge](https://docs.consile.ai/en/concierge.md).

> **What does it cost?**
>
> There are three ways to have Consile. All prices are per month excl. VAT.
>
> * **The free edition:** 0 DKK. One user, 100 tool calls a month and all
> systems in the catalogue except CVR.
> * **The Consile Studio membership:** 349 DKK with the first user and the first
> company. Each extra user costs 174.50 DKK, and each extra company
> 349 DKK. All systems in the catalogue are included.
> * **Single connectors:** one subscription per connector, for example Google Search Console
> 249 DKK, CVR 99 DKK, Uniconta and e-conomic 299 DKK, HubSpot Marketing Email
> 149 DKK, Shopify 349 DKK and LinkedIn Ads 399 DKK.
>
> A single connector covers 1 user and 1 agreement (one connected account in
> the system). Each extra user and each extra agreement costs 50% of the
> connector's monthly price, for example 149.50 DKK/month for a connector at 299 DKK. An
> administrator gives extra users access under **Team**, after the portal
> has shown the price. Extra users are billed pro rata from the day they get
> access.
>
> Every purchase of a connector starts with a 7-day free trial, during which
> the connector works as normal. You register a payment card, but the
> first payment is only taken when the free trial ends. If you cancel before then,
> it costs nothing. There is no commitment, and a cancellation takes effect from
> the end of the paid period. Only administrators can buy, add agreements
> and cancel. See [Pricing & payment](https://docs.consile.ai/en/portal/pricing.md) and
> [Buy a connector](https://docs.consile.ai/en/portal/buy-a-connector.md).

> **What is the free edition?**
>
> The free edition costs 0 DKK. A new organization gets it automatically once you
> have accepted Consile's terms in the portal. It gives:
>
> * all systems in the catalogue except CVR
> * 1 user
> * 100 tool calls a month for the whole organization
> * 1 own connector in [Studio](https://docs.consile.ai/en/studio/introduction.md)
>
> The 100 calls count only calls to systems you have not bought separately. Call number
> 101 is refused, and your AI is told that the limit resets at the start of
> next month, and that an administrator can take out the Consile Studio membership in
> the portal.
>
> There is no free trial, and the free edition cannot be cancelled. If you want to stop
> completely, an administrator deletes the account. Organizations that have already bought
> from Consile do not get the free edition and keep what they have. See
> [The free edition](https://docs.consile.ai/en/portal/free-edition.md).

> **What is the Consile Studio membership?**
>
> Consile Studio is a monthly membership with all systems in the catalogue, including
> CVR and Business Central (early access). New systems are included automatically.
> The price follows the number of users and companies, not the number of systems:
>
> | | DKK | EUR |
> | - | - | - |
> | Base price (first user and first company) | 349 DKK | €45 |
> | Each extra user | 174.50 DKK | €22.50 |
> | Each extra company | 349 DKK | €45 |
>
> A company is the one an agreement's data belongs to, for example a client of an accountant.
> The number is the larger of two numbers: the number of customers you have created in
> Studio, and the number of connected agreements in the system where you have the most. An
> accountant with 1 user and 20 clients pays 349 + 19 × 349 = 6,980 DKK/month
> excl. VAT.
>
> Each paid user has 3 own connectors in Studio included, and each extra
> company gives 3 more. More cost 49 DKK/month excl. VAT (€6.50) each.
> There is no limit of 100 calls as in the free edition.
>
> An administrator buys the membership on **Overview** with the
> **Buy Consile Studio** card. If the membership costs the same or less than your
> subscriptions today, the card *Consile Studio costs the same or less
> for you* is shown at the top of the page instead. The switch replaces the subscriptions
> the membership covers, and no connections are disconnected. See
> [The Consile Studio membership](https://docs.consile.ai/en/portal/membership.md).

> **What is Studio, and what is an own connector?**
>
> Studio is the area in the portal where you make your own connectors and create
> customers. It is in the menu with the **Beta** label.
>
> An own connector is a selection of tools from the systems you have connected,
> for example only the few tools a colleague needs. It gets its own URL and works
> like a regular connector. There are two types:
>
> * **AI assistant:** People log in and use it in their AI assistant.
> * **AI bot:** One bot uses it with a key. It asks nobody before it
> changes data.
>
> An own connector gives no new access. Each person gets only the tools in
> it that they themselves have access to under **Team**. Everyone in the
> organization can make an own connector for AI assistants. Only
> administrators can make AI bots.
>
> In the free edition and without a membership, you can have 1 own connector. With
> the membership, each paid user has 3. See [Studio](https://docs.consile.ai/en/studio/introduction.md),
> [Own connectors](https://docs.consile.ai/en/studio/own-connectors.md) and [AI bots](https://docs.consile.ai/en/studio/ai-bots.md).

> **What is a customer in Studio?**
>
> A customer is the company an agreement's data belongs to, typically a client of an
> accountant or an agency. The organization itself is always *Your own company*.
>
> An administrator creates the customer under **Studio** › **Customers** and moves
> the customer's agreements to it. An own connector belongs to one customer and can only use
> that customer's agreements, never two customers' data. A customer can have one agreement per
> system.
>
> Without the membership, a customer costs nothing. Under the Consile
> Studio membership, a customer counts as a company: the first is included in
> the base price, and each extra one costs 349 DKK/month excl. VAT from the day the customer
> is created. The portal shows the amount before you create the customer. See
> [Customers](https://docs.consile.ai/en/studio/customers.md).

> **We have several companies behind one login. How do we keep them apart?**
>
> In five systems, one connection can reach several companies: Google Search Console
> (websites), Meta Ads and LinkedIn Ads (ad accounts), Dinero (organizations)
> and Business Central (environments and companies). Without a lock, your AI chooses the company
> in each call.
>
> An administrator can lock each connection to one company with
> **Choose company** in the **Connections** card on the system's page. Every
> call then stays with that company, and tools that cannot be limited to one
> company are hidden. The lock is optional. One company can be locked
> on only one agreement per system. If you connect a locked connection again, the
> company must be chosen again before the calls work.
>
> If your AI is to work for several clients in the same system, you add one agreement
> per client, connect each agreement with the same login and lock each agreement to
> its own client. In the other systems, one connection reaches only one company, for example
> one set of accounts, so there you connect one agreement per company. See
> [Lock a connection to one company](https://docs.consile.ai/en/portal/company-lock.md).

> **Can we see what our AI has used?**
>
> Yes. Under **Team** › **Activity**, an administrator sees every call to your
> connectors' tools that your AI assistants and AI bots have made: who, which tool, in which
> system, when, and whether the call was carried out, refused or failed. With
> **Download as CSV**, you download the rows that are shown.
>
> The log does not store the content of the calls, neither what the AI assistant asked
> about nor what the system answered. Only administrators can use Activity. See
> [Activity log](https://docs.consile.ai/en/portal/activity.md).

> **Can an administrator approve a call before it is carried out?**
>
> Yes. Under **Team** › **Approvals**, an administrator can switch on
> **Requires approval** for a tool, including one that only reads. The rule
> applies to the whole organization, including administrators and AI bots, and to all agreements
> in the system.
>
> When the AI assistant uses the tool, the call waits, and nothing is carried out
> until an administrator has approved it in the portal. The AI assistant is told
> that the call is pending. Administrators see the number of pending calls on
> the **Approvals** tab. If an administrator refuses the call, it is not
> carried out, and any message from the administrator is passed on to
> the AI assistant.
>
> Only administrators can use Approvals. See
> [Approvals](https://docs.consile.ai/en/portal/approvals.md).

> **Is there a limit to how much my AI can use?**
>
> Every time your AI calls a tool on one of your connectors, it counts as
> one call, even when the call fails at the system. Calls that Consile itself refuses,
> for example because the user does not have access, do not count toward a limit. You can follow
> the month's usage under **Subscription** in [the portal](https://app.consile.ai).
>
> **The free edition** has a limit of 100 calls a month for the whole
> organization. Only calls to systems you have not bought separately count.
> Call number 101 is refused, and your AI is told that the calls in the plan are
> used up, that the limit resets at the start of next month, and that an
> administrator can take out the Consile Studio membership in the portal. See
> [The free edition](https://docs.consile.ai/en/portal/free-edition.md).
>
> **The membership and single connectors** have a fair use limit of 100,000 calls
> a month for the whole organization (the portal calls them units). Calls over
> the limit may be refused for the rest of the month. Your AI is then told that the account
> has used its monthly fair use quota, that the quota resets at the start of
> next month, and that only Consile can raise it. Write to
> [support@consile.dk](mailto:support@consile.dk) if you expect to use
> more.
>
> To protect against agents that run in circles, Consile also limits how
> many requests can be sent per second to each connector. The systems behind
> the connectors also have their own limits. The details are in
> [Usage & fair use](https://docs.consile.ai/developers/usage.md) and
> [Errors & limits](https://docs.consile.ai/developers/errors-and-limits.md).

> **Can the portal be shown in Danish, and can I pay in euros?**
>
> Yes. The portal opens in English the first time. Click the globe icon at the top of
> the portal: under **Language**, choose **Dansk**, and under **Market** (in
> Danish **Marked**), choose **DK · DKK** or **EU · EUR**. Language and currency
> are independent of each other. In euros, the price is a fixed amount per connector, for example
> €29/month for Google Search Console and €39/month for e-conomic, excl. VAT.
> CVR, Billy, Ordrestyring and Business Central are sold only in DKK when you
> buy them separately. The Consile Studio membership costs €45/month excl. VAT
> for the first user and the first company. If the account already has a subscription,
> the membership is billed in the same currency. If the account has the free edition, the
> currency is already set, and a purchase in another currency is refused with
> the message *This account is billed in a different currency. Contact support and we'll
> move it.*

> **How do I cancel or delete my account?**
>
> An administrator cancels a subscription under **Subscription** in
> [the portal](https://docs.consile.ai/en/portal/subscription.md) with **Cancel** and confirms with
> **Cancel the subscription**. This also applies to the Consile Studio membership.
> The subscription runs until the end of the paid period and then stops.
> When it has ended, access is removed, and the stored connection is deleted. If you buy
> the connector again later, you have to connect it again.
>
> The free edition cannot be cancelled. The portal answers *The free plan can't be
> cancelled. Delete the account under Account if you want to stop entirely.*
>
> If you only want to remove Consile's access to your system, an administrator opens
> the menu next to the agreement in the **Connections** card on the system's page, chooses
> **Disconnect** and confirms with **Disconnect**. This deletes
> the stored connection for all users in the company, but the subscription
> continues. Only administrators can disconnect a connection. If the connector has
> several agreements, you disconnect each agreement separately. An extra agreement is removed by an
> administrator with **Remove the agreement** in the same menu. Under the Consile
> Studio membership, you write to us instead if an agreement is to be removed. See
> [Disconnect a connection](https://docs.consile.ai/en/portal/account-and-data.md#disconnect-a-connection).
> Consile does not revoke the access at the provider. You can do that yourself in
> the system's own settings (see
> [Remove all Consile access](https://docs.consile.ai/en/troubleshooting.md#remove-all-consile-access)).
>
> An administrator can delete the whole account under **Account** › **Settings** (see
> [Account & data](https://docs.consile.ai/en/portal/account-and-data.md)). Cancel the subscriptions first, because
> the deletion does not stop them automatically. Access to the connectors is closed
> immediately, and your data is deleted permanently after 14 days. Read more in
> [GDPR & your rights](https://docs.consile.ai/en/essentials/gdpr.md), or write to
> [support@consile.dk](mailto:support@consile.dk).
