# Dinero

> Read access to your accounts in Dinero: trial balance, profit and loss and balance sheet, invoices, contacts with account statements, vouchers and quotes. 100% read-only.

*[Læs siden på dansk](https://docs.consile.ai/connectors/dinero.md)*

The Dinero connector gives your AI read-only access to your accounts in Dinero
(Visma): trial balance, profit and loss and balance sheet per fiscal year, entries,
contacts with account statements, invoices and credit notes, reminders, purchase
vouchers, product register, quotes and the voucher archive, without exports or
spreadsheets. You approve the Consile app via Visma Connect, and your AI never sees
the access itself.

> [!NOTE]
>
> **Nordic exclusive.** Managed MCP for Dinero. EU-hosted and 100% read-only:
> nothing can be created, changed or sent.

> **Access**

>
> Hosted in the EU · Frankfurt

* **Price:** 299 DKK/month excl. VAT (€39/month if you have chosen the EU · EUR
market in the portal). No lock-in, cancel at any time. The price
covers 1 user and 1 agreement (one connected Visma login). Each extra user and each
extra agreement costs 149.50 DKK/month excl. VAT (€19.50). Also included in
  [the Consile Studio membership](https://docs.consile.ai/en/portal/membership.md) and
  [the free edition](https://docs.consile.ai/en/portal/free-edition.md). See [Pricing](https://docs.consile.ai/en/portal/pricing.md).
* **Users:** whoever buys Dinero automatically gets the included access. If more
colleagues need Dinero in their AI, an administrator gives them access under
**Team** in the portal (choose **All tools** next to Dinero on the person's page).
An extra user is billed pro rata from the day access is given. A colleague
without access can still see the tools in their AI, but every lookup is refused
with a message to ask an administrator for access. One access covers all your
Dinero agreements. If you have [the Consile Studio membership](https://docs.consile.ai/en/portal/membership.md),
an administrator instead gives one membership licence per person, and it also
  covers Dinero. See [Team](https://docs.consile.ai/en/portal/team.md).
* **Multiple Visma logins and organizations:** the portal calls each connection to
the system an agreement. One agreement covers all the organizations your
Visma/Dinero login can see. You need one more agreement if you also want to
connect Dinero under a **different** Visma login, or if each organization should
have its own connection, locked to exactly that organization (see the section on
locking below). An administrator clicks **Add agreement** on the **Connections**
card on the connector's page in the portal. Each agreement gets its own address,
for example `https://mcp.consile.ai/dinero-2/mcp`, which you add as a separate
  connector in your AI. Under
  [the Consile Studio membership](https://docs.consile.ai/en/portal/membership.md#one-more-agreement-in-a-system)
there is no button to add an agreement, so write to
  [support@consile.dk](mailto:support@consile.dk) instead. See
  [Connect Dinero](https://docs.consile.ai/en/connect/connect-dinero.md#multiple-visma-logins-and-organizations).
* **Endpoint:** `https://mcp.consile.ai/dinero/mcp` (your own named connector in Claude).

> [!NOTE]
>
> Dinero's public API requires a **Dinero Pro** subscription on the organization
> you connect. Organizations without Pro cannot be read (Dinero answers with an
> error on everything except the organization list itself).

## Prerequisites

**1. Subscription**

The connector must be bought in the [portal](https://app.consile.ai). See
[Buy a connector](https://docs.consile.ai/en/portal/buy-a-connector.md).

**2. Dinero approved**

Approve the Consile app via Visma Connect on the Dinero account you want to
connect. The account must have **Dinero Pro**. The connection applies to your
whole Consile account. See [Connect Dinero](https://docs.consile.ai/en/connect/connect-dinero.md).

**3. Access for your user**

If there are several users on the account, an administrator must assign you
Dinero under **Team** in the portal. Whoever bought the connector has access
from the start. If you have created your own Consile account, but belong to a
company that already has Dinero, ask your administrator for an invitation to
the team instead of buying again. See [Team](https://docs.consile.ai/en/portal/team.md).

**4. Your AI connected**

Each user adds the connector in their own AI and logs in with their own
Consile login. See [Connect Claude](https://docs.consile.ai/en/connect/connect-claude.md) or
[Connect ChatGPT](https://docs.consile.ai/en/connect/connect-chatgpt.md).

## What can it do? (tools)

You do not need to know the tool names. You ask in natural language, and your AI
picks the right one itself. The connector provides 52 read-only tools. Below is a
selection, grouped by what they answer; the full list is in the API reference.
When your AI calls them, they are called `dinero__<tool>` (for example
`dinero__list_invoices`).

**Organization & lookups**

| Tool | What it does |
| - | - |
| `list_organizations` | Your Dinero organizations with id and `isPro` flag (first call) |
| `validate_connection` | Checks that the connection still works |
| `list_accounting_years` | Fiscal years with start and end dates |
| `get_sales_settings` | Default settings for invoicing (payment terms, fees) |

**Bookkeeping & accounts**

| Tool | What it does |
| - | - |
| `get_saldo_balance_report` | Trial balance: year totals for all accounts (profit and loss and balance sheet) |
| `get_result_report` | Profit and loss statement per fiscal year |
| `get_balance_report` | Balance sheet: assets and liabilities (bank, debtors, creditors, equity) |
| `get_account_balance` | Year balance for specific account numbers |
| `list_chart_of_accounts` | Chart of accounts with VAT code and category |
| `list_entries` | Entries for a date range (within one fiscal year) |

**Contacts**

| Tool | What it does |
| - | - |
| `list_contacts` | Search the shared customer and supplier register |
| `get_contact` | One contact in detail (debtor/creditor, language, currency) |
| `get_contact_state_of_account` | Account statement: what the customer owes, and how old the items are |
| `download_contact_state_of_account_pdf` | Account statement as PDF (for agents that can save files) |

**Invoices & reminders**

| Tool | What it does |
| - | - |
| `list_invoices` | Search invoices by status, date, customer or free text |
| `list_invoices_overdue` | Overdue receivables |
| `get_invoice` | One invoice with lines, VAT and payment status |
| `download_invoice_pdf` | Booked invoice as PDF (for agents that can save files) |
| `list_invoice_reminders` | Reminders (fee, interest) on an invoice |
| `get_next_invoice_reminder` | Preview the next reminder Dinero would create |

> [!NOTE]
>
> **PDFs and voucher files in the chat.** The tools that fetch PDFs and voucher
> files send the file to your AI as raw data (at most 6 MB). In a regular chat,
> your AI cannot turn the data into a file you can download, or attach the file to
> an email. If you ask for an invoice as a PDF, your AI therefore normally refers
> you to fetch it directly in Dinero. Your AI can still read and reproduce the
> content of the invoice (lines, VAT, payment status). The tools are intended for
> agents and integrations that can save the file themselves.

**Sales: credit notes & quotes**

| Tool | What it does |
| - | - |
| `list_sales` | All sales vouchers in one feed: invoices and credit notes |
| `list_credit_notes` | Credit notes with status and amount |
| `get_credit_note` | One credit note (incl. the invoice it credits) |
| `list_trade_offers` | Quotes with status and amount |
| `get_trade_offer` | One quote with history and any generated invoices |

**Purchases, products & vouchers**

| Tool | What it does |
| - | - |
| `get_purchase_voucher` | A purchase voucher with lines, VAT and attached file |
| `list_products` | Product register with prices, units and account mapping |
| `get_product` | One product with all details |
| `list_files` | The voucher archive (uploaded receipts and documents) |
| `download_file` | Fetch a voucher/receipt as a file (for agents that can save files) |

## Try asking

> **Profit & balance sheet**
>
> > *"What does this year's result look like? Show the profit and loss statement and highlight the largest expense items."*
>
> > *"What does the 2026 balance sheet show for the bank account and the debtors control account?"*

> **Liquidity & debtors**
>
> > *"Which invoices are overdue right now, and have reminders been sent on them?"*
>
> > *"Make an account statement for our biggest customer: what do they owe, and how old are the items?"*

> **Vouchers & purchases**
>
> > *"Find the purchase voucher behind the receipt from \<company name> and show the lines with VAT."*
>
> > *"Show all quotes the customer has accepted that have not been invoiced yet."*

> [!TIP]
>
> Mention a fiscal year or a customer name in the question. The reports always
> cover a whole fiscal year, so a year makes the answer precise right away.

## Lock to one company

A Visma login can see several Dinero organizations, for example when an
accountant has access to several clients' accounts. An administrator can lock an
agreement to one organization, so every call on that agreement keeps to it. The
lock is optional. Without a lock, the connection works as before, and your AI
chooses the organization per question.

On a locked connection:

* `list_organizations` and `validate_connection` only show the locked organization.
* The lookups in the accounts still need the organization (`organizationId`), and
it must be the locked one. If your AI names another organization, the call is
refused, and your AI is told which organization the connection is locked to.
* No tools are hidden. All 52 are still there.

The list you choose from in the portal also shows organizations without Dinero Pro.
Your AI still cannot read those.

If an administrator connects the agreement again with **Reconnect** or a link from
your AI, all calls are refused until an administrator has chosen the organization
again. If an administrator disconnects, the lock disappears. An organization can
only be locked on one agreement at a time. How to lock, and what else happens:
[Lock a connection to one company](https://docs.consile.ai/en/portal/company-lock.md).

## Limitations

* **Read-only:** the connector cannot post, create or change anything in
Dinero. This is enforced both in the tools and at the approval itself (only a
  read scope is approved).
* **Dinero Pro required:** Dinero's API only works for organizations on Dinero Pro.
Organizations without Pro cannot be read.
* **Call limit at Dinero:** Dinero allows about 100 calls per minute per
organization. Going through many invoices or contacts in one go can hit the
limit, and then the lookup fails. Wait a minute, and ask again.
* **Reports cover the whole fiscal year:** Dinero has no balance per date in the
middle of the year. "The balance on account X" means the year's total.
* **No list of purchase vouchers and manual vouchers:** purchase vouchers, purchase
credit notes and manual vouchers are fetched one at a time. Your AI typically
finds them via entries or the voucher archive.
* **General error messages:** if a lookup fails at Dinero (for example an
organization without Pro or the call limit), your AI only gets the general error
"Tool invocation failed." without further explanation. If the access no longer
works, your AI instead gets a message that Dinero must be connected again
  ("reconnect required").
* **Access can be revoked:** if you revoke the Consile app at Visma, or the access
can no longer be renewed, all Dinero lookups, including `validate_connection`,
answer with the message to reconnect. The portal can still show **Connected**,
because an access is stored. Only an administrator can reconnect: if the
agreement says **Access revoked**, click **Reconnect**. Otherwise the
administrator chooses **Disconnect** in the menu next to the agreement and then
clicks **Connect**. You can also ask your AI for a new connection link in the
connector that belongs to the agreement (for example `dinero-2`). If the
agreement was locked, an administrator must choose the organization again
  afterwards. See [Connect Dinero](https://docs.consile.ai/en/connect/connect-dinero.md#reconnect).
