# Connect your account

> How to give Consile access to your account in the system the connector works with, and which method each connector uses.

*[Læs siden på dansk](https://docs.consile.ai/connect/forbind-din-konto.md)*

Before your AI can fetch data through a connector, Consile needs access to your
account in the system the connector works with, for example Google Search Console or
e-conomic. You do that by connecting the account in the portal. How it works depends
on the connector. There are three methods, and CVR does not need to be connected at
all.

> [!NOTE]
>
> You can connect the account as soon as the connector is bought or is included in
> your plan ([the free edition](https://docs.consile.ai/en/portal/free-edition.md) or
> [the Consile Studio membership](https://docs.consile.ai/en/portal/membership.md)). It does not matter whether
> you have already added it in your AI. Click **Connect now** at the top of the
> connector's page in the [portal](https://app.consile.ai), or **Connect** next to
> the agreement on the **Connections** card. The portal calls each connection to a
> system an agreement; each agreement is one connected account. As long as the
> account is not connected, **Connect now** is also shown on **Overview**. In the
> window you click **Authorise access** if you need to log in with the provider, or
> you fill in the form and click **Connect**. If you have not accepted Consile's
> terms yet, the portal asks you to do that first.

## The three methods

> **[Login with the provider](https://docs.consile.ai/en/connect/connect-gsc.md)**
>
> You are sent to the provider's own login page, approve the access and are sent
> back to the portal. Examples: Google Search Console, Dinero and Meta Ads.

> **[Key or login in a form](https://docs.consile.ai/en/connect/connect-uniconta.md)**
>
> You enter the details directly in the portal, without a redirect. The portal
> shows a short guide to the fields. Examples: Billy (access token), Ordrestyring
> (API key) and Uniconta (server user, password and Company ID).

> **[App approval](https://docs.consile.ai/en/connect/connect-economic.md)**
>
> You are sent to e-conomic and approve the Consile app as Superuser on the
> agreement you want to connect. Used by e-conomic.

Shopify is also connected with login at the provider, but the portal first asks for
the store domain (`<store>.myshopify.com`).

## Which method does my connector use?

| Connector | Method | Guide |
| - | - | - |
| Google Search Console | Login with Google | [Connect Google Search Console](https://docs.consile.ai/en/connect/connect-gsc.md) |
| e-conomic | App approval in e-conomic | [Connect e-conomic](https://docs.consile.ai/en/connect/connect-economic.md) |
| Dinero | Login with Visma | [Connect Dinero](https://docs.consile.ai/en/connect/connect-dinero.md) |
| Uniconta | Form: server user, password and Company ID | [Connect Uniconta](https://docs.consile.ai/en/connect/connect-uniconta.md) |
| Billy | Form: access token from Billy | [Connect Billy](https://docs.consile.ai/en/connect/connect-billy.md) |
| Ordrestyring | Form: API key from Ordrestyring's support | [Connect Ordrestyring](https://docs.consile.ai/en/connect/connect-ordrestyring.md) |
| Business Central (early access) | Login with Microsoft with a work account | [Connect Business Central](https://docs.consile.ai/en/connect/connect-business-central.md) |
| CVR | Nothing to connect, works after purchase | [About the CVR connector](https://docs.consile.ai/en/connectors/cvr.md) |
| Shopify | Store domain and login with Shopify, only from the portal | [Connect Shopify](https://docs.consile.ai/en/connect/connect-shopify.md) |
| HubSpot CMS | Login with HubSpot | [Connect HubSpot](https://docs.consile.ai/en/connect/connect-hubspot.md) |
| HubSpot Marketing Email | Login with HubSpot | [Connect HubSpot Marketing Email](https://docs.consile.ai/en/connect/connect-hubspot-email.md) |
| LinkedIn Ads | Login with LinkedIn | [Connect LinkedIn Ads](https://docs.consile.ai/en/connect/connect-linkedin-ads.md) |
| Meta Ads | Login with Meta (Facebook) | [Connect Meta Ads](https://docs.consile.ai/en/connect/connect-meta-ads.md) |

## Connect from your AI

If you have already added the connector in your AI, you can also ask it to connect
the account, for example *"connect our e-conomic account"*. Your AI gives you a
personal link that opens the provider's login or the portal's form. The link works
for 10 minutes and only for connectors your organization has bought or has included
in its plan. If your AI calls a tool on a connector that is not connected yet, it
gets such a link automatically.

If you ask in an extra agreement's connector (for example `gsc-2`), the link connects
that particular agreement. If the agreement is already connected, the new connection
replaces the old one. Only an administrator can do that.

Shopify cannot be connected that way, because the store domain has to be filled in
in the portal.

## Lock a connection to one company

In Google Search Console, Meta Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Dinero and Business Central, one
connection can reach several companies, for example several websites, ad accounts or
organizations. Without a lock, your AI chooses the company in each call. An
administrator can lock each agreement to one company, so every call keeps to it.
Right after you have connected one of the five systems, the portal offers this with
the **Choose company** button.

The lock is optional. If an administrator connects a locked agreement again, the
company must be chosen again before your AI can use the agreement. See
[Lock a connection to one company](https://docs.consile.ai/en/portal/company-lock.md).

## What applies to every method

> **Your AI never sees the access**
>
> Consile stores the access encrypted with a key per customer account and never
> logs it. The login your AI uses at Consile is never passed on to your system.

> **[Shared by the organization](https://docs.consile.ai/en/portal/team.md)**
>
> The connection applies to the whole organization. Every user with access to the
> connector uses the same connection and can reach the data the connected account
> can see. Anyone on the team can connect an agreement that is not connected yet.
> Only an administrator can connect it again or disconnect it. Each user needs
> access to the connector under Team.

> **One connector, one address**
>
> Each connector you buy has its own address in your AI and is connected
> separately. If you have several agreements, each agreement has its own address
> and its own **Connect** button on the **Connections** card.

> **[Disconnect at any time](https://docs.consile.ai/en/portal/account-and-data.md)**
>
> An administrator chooses **Disconnect** in the menu next to the agreement on the
> **Connections** card and confirms with **Disconnect**. The stored access to the
> agreement is deleted immediately for the whole organization. The subscription
> continues, and the access at the provider is not revoked automatically.

## Read and write access

The data connectors (Google Search Console, CVR, Dinero, Billy, Ordrestyring and
Business Central) can only read. Your AI can read your figures, but never change,
create or delete anything.

The write connectors (e-conomic, Uniconta, Shopify, HubSpot CMS, HubSpot Marketing
Email, LinkedIn Ads and Meta Ads) can also create and change data, but only behind
safety locks. New content is created as a draft or paused by default, and actions
that, for example, spend money, publish or book require your explicit
confirmation. For e-conomic and Uniconta, an administrator can give an individual
user the access level **Read only** under [Team](https://docs.consile.ai/en/portal/team.md). Consile then
blocks all write operations on the server for that user. See
[Actions & guardrails](https://docs.consile.ai/en/essentials/actions-and-guardrails.md).

> [!NOTE]
>
> Right after a purchase it can take a few seconds before the connector can be
> connected, because the portal is waiting for confirmation from Stripe. See
> [After purchase & connection](https://docs.consile.ai/en/connect/after-purchase-and-connection.md).
