# Connect Microsoft 365 Copilot

> Use the e-conomic connector as an agent in Microsoft 365 Copilot and Teams. The agent is in pilot.

*[Læs siden på dansk](https://docs.consile.ai/connect/forbind-microsoft-copilot.md)*

> [!WARNING]
>
> The Microsoft 365 Copilot agent is a pilot and is only available for e-conomic.
> Steps and features may change. Write to
> [support@consile.dk](mailto:support@consile.dk) before you roll out the agent, and
> we will help with your first installation.

For e-conomic, Consile is also available as a ready-made agent, **Consile
e-conomic**, for Microsoft 365 Copilot. The agent uses the same e-conomic
subscription and the same connection to your accounting as in Claude and ChatGPT. It
talks to the address `https://mcp.consile.ai/economic/mcp`, and each employee logs in
with their own Consile login.

## What you need

* An active e-conomic subscription at Consile, where your e-conomic agreement is
connected in the portal. See [Connect e-conomic](https://docs.consile.ai/en/connect/connect-economic.md).
* Microsoft 365, where the employees have access to Copilot.
* An IT administrator who may upload custom apps or agents in the Microsoft 365
  admin center.

## How to do it

**1. Download the app package**

Open e-conomic in the [portal](https://app.consile.ai). Once you have bought
e-conomic, the **Use in Microsoft 365 Copilot** card is shown. Click
**Download the app package (zip)**.

**2. Upload the package (IT administrator, once)**

The IT administrator uploads the zip file in the Microsoft 365 admin center, for
example under **Settings → Integrated apps → Upload custom apps**, or in the
Copilot settings with **Agents → Upload custom agent**. Choose who should get the
agent (the whole organization or selected users and groups), and approve.
Microsoft regularly changes the menu names.

**3. Give the same employees access at Consile**

An administrator in Consile invites the employees under **Team** in the portal
and gives them access to e-conomic on each person's page. The access level is
chosen at the same time: **Read only (28)** or **Full access (40)**. The two
levels cost the same. The first user is included in the price, and each extra
user costs 50% of the connector's monthly price, for e-conomic 149.50 DKK/month
excl. VAT. If you have the [Consile Studio membership](https://docs.consile.ai/en/portal/membership.md),
the employees get a membership licence instead. See [Team](https://docs.consile.ai/en/portal/team.md) and
[Pricing](https://docs.consile.ai/en/portal/pricing.md).

**4. First use (each employee)**

The employee first accepts the invitation from Consile. Then the employee opens
Copilot in Teams or at
[m365.cloud.microsoft/chat](https://m365.cloud.microsoft/chat), chooses
**Consile e-conomic** among the agents and asks a question. The first time, the
employee logs in with their own Consile login, chooses the company's
organization if asked, and approves. This happens only once per user.

> [!WARNING]
>
> The assignment in Microsoft only makes the agent visible. An employee who has not
> both been invited and been given access to e-conomic under **Team** at Consile can
> open the agent and log in, but gets a message about missing access instead of
> data.

## What can the agent do?

The agent has the same 40 tools as the e-conomic connector: 28 that read and 12 that
change data.

* It reads customers, invoices (drafts and booked), products, suppliers, entries,
  VAT, accounting years and balances.
* For users with **Full access**, after explicit confirmation, it can also create
and update customers, create and update draft invoices, copy an invoice to a new
draft, create credit note drafts, and create, update and delete unbooked entries
  in the daily journal.
* For users with **Full access**, it can also book entries in the daily journal, but only
the entry numbers the user has approved, and at most 50 at a time.
* The agent is set up to show each change as a preview and ask you before it carries
  it out.
* Invoices and credit notes remain drafts. The agent never books them and cannot
  send anything to anyone.

See [Actions & guardrails](https://docs.consile.ai/en/essentials/actions-and-guardrails.md) and
[e-conomic](https://docs.consile.ai/en/connectors/economic.md).

## Limitations in the pilot

* The agent is only available for e-conomic and uses your first e-conomic
agreement. Extra agreements (for example `economic-2`) cannot be used through the
agent. Use them in Claude or ChatGPT.
* The app package contains a fixed list of the agent's tools. A user on **Read
only** therefore still sees the write actions in the agent, but Consile blocks all
write operations on the server for that user. Changing level does not require a
  new package.
* If the e-conomic connector gets new tools, a new version of the app package is
needed, which the IT administrator uploads again.

Questions about the setup: write to [support@consile.dk](mailto:support@consile.dk).
