# Connect e-conomic

> Approve the Consile app in e-conomic as a Superuser: once per agreement, read + guardrailed write, can be revoked.

*[Læs siden på dansk](https://docs.consile.ai/connect/forbind-economic.md)*

You connect e-conomic by approving the Consile app on e-conomic's own page. Each
agreement gets its own access, which Consile stores encrypted. Your AI never sees
the access itself.

> [!NOTE]
>
> You need an active e-conomic subscription in the [portal](https://app.consile.ai),
> or the system must be included in your plan
> ([the free edition](https://docs.consile.ai/en/portal/free-edition.md) or
> [the Consile Studio membership](https://docs.consile.ai/en/portal/membership.md)). You can connect e-conomic before or after you have connected your AI
> ([Claude](https://docs.consile.ai/en/connect/connect-claude.md) or [ChatGPT](https://docs.consile.ai/en/connect/connect-chatgpt.md)).
> You must be able to log in to e-conomic as a **Superuser** on the agreement you
> want to connect. Anyone on the team can connect an agreement that is not
> connected yet. Only an administrator can reconnect it or disconnect it. The
> connection applies to the whole company.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Unlike our read-only connectors, e-conomic can also write: your AI can both
> read the accounts and (behind clear guardrails) create and edit customers,
> create, edit and duplicate draft invoices, make draft credit notes and work in
> the daily journal. See
> [Actions & guardrails](https://docs.consile.ai/en/essentials/actions-and-guardrails.md) before you start
> using the write functions.

## How to connect

**1. Open the connector in the portal**

Open the e-conomic connector in the portal. Click **Connect now** at the top of
the page, or **Connect** next to the agreement on the **Connections** card. The
portal calls each connection to a system an agreement, and for e-conomic it
corresponds to an e-conomic agreement. In the dialog, click **Authorise
access**. If you have not accepted Consile's terms yet, the dialog asks you to
do so first. You are then sent to e-conomic's own approval page
(`secure.e-conomic.com`) in Danish.

**2. Log in as a Superuser**

Log in to the e-conomic agreement you want to give access to. The approval
applies to the agreement you are logged in to, and e-conomic does not ask which
agreement you mean. The approval requires a **Superuser** on the agreement.

**3. Approve the Consile app**

e-conomic shows that the Consile app is asking for access. Confirm to continue.
You are then sent back to the portal automatically.

> [!TIP]
>
> Consile now has access (a grant token) to your agreement. You land on the
> **e-conomic is connected** page, and the agreement shows as **Connected** in
> the portal. Your AI can now read the accounts, and users with **Full
> access** can also carry out guardrailed changes.

**4. Add the address in your AI**

If you have not already added e-conomic in your AI, copy the address
`https://mcp.consile.ai/economic/mcp` from the **Add it to your AI
assistant** card on the e-conomic page, and add it as a custom connector.

> [!NOTE]
>
> The connection applies to the whole company. All users with access to e-conomic
> under [Team](https://docs.consile.ai/en/portal/team.md) work through the same approval, so colleagues do
> not have to connect e-conomic again. Each colleague adds the address in their own
> AI and logs in with their own Consile login. If you want to limit a colleague to
> reading, choose **Read only** for that person under **Team**. Consile then
> blocks all write operations on the server for that user. Both levels cost the
> same.

## What exactly am I approving?

> **Read + change behind guardrails**
>
> The connector can read invoices, debtors, the chart of accounts, entries and
> daily journals, and change customers, draft invoices, draft credit notes and
> entries in the daily journal. Writing always requires a confirmation
> (`confirm: true`); otherwise you only get a preview. Invoices and credit notes
> are never booked by your AI. Daily journal entries are booked only when you
> have confirmed the specific entry numbers.

> **Access per agreement**
>
> The approval applies to the one e-conomic agreement you logged in to. It is
> given as a static token that does not expire, without OAuth scopes or renewal.

> **Encrypted per customer**
>
> The access is stored encrypted with a key that applies only to your account,
> and is never logged.

> **Your AI never sees it**
>
> Your AI is never given the access itself, only answers to your questions.

## Multiple agreements

If you have several e-conomic agreements, for example several companies, you can
connect them under the same subscription. Each agreement gets its own row on the
**Connections** card. Each agreement is one connected e-conomic account. Only
administrators can add and remove agreements. If the agreements belong to your
customers, for example because you are their accountant, an administrator can tie
each agreement to its customer in Studio. See
[Move an agreement to a customer](https://docs.consile.ai/en/studio/customers.md#move-an-agreement-to-a-customer).

**1. Add an agreement**

Open e-conomic in the portal. On the **Connections** card, click
**Add agreement (149.50 kr/mo.)**. The amount is excl. VAT and is added to the
existing subscription, pro rata from today.

**2. Switch to the other agreement in e-conomic**

The approval applies to the agreement you are logged in to in e-conomic in your
browser, and e-conomic does not ask which agreement you mean. So log in to (or
switch to) the agreement you want to connect before you continue. If you are
the accountant or administrator for a customer's agreement, first open the
customer's agreement in e-conomic.

**3. Connect the new agreement**

When the agreement is activated (typically after a few seconds), click
**Connect** next to it and then **Authorise access**. Approve the Consile app
as a **Superuser** on the agreement. The agreement then shows with the
company's name and agreement number.

**4. Add the agreement's address in your AI**

Each agreement has its own address, for example
`https://mcp.consile.ai/economic-2/mcp`. Copy it with the copy icon next to the
agreement, and add it in your AI as a separate connector.

* If you connect an e-conomic agreement that is already connected on another row,
the existing row is updated instead, and the new slot stays free.
* If an administrator reconnects a row with a different e-conomic agreement than
before, you get a message about it. Check the list on the **Connections** card
if that was not the intention.
* **Remove an agreement:** click the menu (the three dots) next to the agreement,
choose **Remove the agreement**, and confirm with **Remove agreement**. The
option only exists when there is more than one agreement. If you remove an
agreement that is not the last one in the list, the last agreement moves up into
the free slot, and its address changes to the free slot's address (for example
from `economic-3` to `economic-2`). Update the address in your AI. You remove the
only remaining agreement by cancelling the subscription under **Subscription**.
* Under [the Consile Studio membership](https://docs.consile.ai/en/portal/membership.md#one-more-agreement-in-a-system)
there is no button to add or remove an agreement. One more company costs full
price under the membership. Write to
[support@consile.dk](mailto:support@consile.dk), and Consile sets it up.

## Reconnect

If someone removes the Consile app in e-conomic, e-conomic answers with
`401`/`403`, and your AI gets the message
`e-conomic rejected the grant token (401); reconnect required`. The portal can
still show **Connected**, because the access is still stored at Consile. Only an
administrator can reconnect an agreement. A member sees *An administrator in your
organisation must renew this connection.* How to reconnect:

* If the agreement says **Access revoked**, click **Reconnect**, and follow the
  steps above.
* Otherwise: disconnect as described under Revoke access below, and then click
  **Connect** next to the agreement.
* You can also open a conversation where exactly that agreement's connector is
switched on, and ask your AI for a new connection link. The link expires after
10 minutes. When you approve, the new access replaces the old one.

Remember to be logged in to the right agreement in e-conomic first.

> [!TIP]
>
> If you are unsure whether the access still works, you can ask your AI to check
> the connection. It calls `economic__validate_connection` and confirms that the
> access is still valid.

## Revoke access

You can remove the access again at any time:

* **In the portal:** an administrator clicks the menu (the three dots) next to the
agreement on the **Connections** card and confirms with **Disconnect**. The
stored access to the agreement is then deleted at Consile. The access is not
revoked in e-conomic. An administrator can also remove an agreement entirely
  with **Remove the agreement** (see
  [Multiple agreements](#multiple-agreements)).
* **In e-conomic:** remove the Consile app under the agreement's app settings in
e-conomic. If you have connected several agreements, it must be done on each
agreement. The connector then stops working for that agreement until you
  reconnect.

If you disconnect in the portal or remove the app in e-conomic, the subscription
does not stop. If you want to stop paying, an administrator cancels e-conomic under
**Subscription** in the portal.
